Services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home for John D. (Jack) Bromby, 66, of 19836 Van Aken Blvd., Shaker Heights, Cleveland.
Mr. Bromby, a retired city fireman, died Saturday at 11:55 p.m. at home after a long illness.
H e was born in East Orange, N. J., Sept. 11, 1906, a son of Agnes Collins Bromby Waterman of East Liverpool and Thomas Bromby. He had resided in East Liverpool most of his life, moving to Shaker Heights about six years ago.
Mr. Bromby was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and Elks Lodge 258 here.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his widow, Mrs. Marion Huston Bromby, at home; three daughters, Mrs. William (Roberta) Gierl of Neonah, Wis., Mrs. M. Eugene (Kaye) Carlisle Jr. of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Coline Bynum of Shaker Heights; a brother, Colin 9Slim) Bromby of Farmington, Mass., and six grandchildren.
The Rev. John Shaw will conduct the Tuesday services. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, New Manchester.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight and Tuesday up to the time of service.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Tuberculosis Fund.
