Died Jan. 19, 2003

Greta G. Cronin, 60, of RD 1, Chester passed away Sunday, January 19, 2003 at the Weirton Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born September 1, 1942 in Falls Mills, WV, a daughter of the late Vince and Bernice Silliman Munday. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Cronin on August 21, 1984.
She retired from the East Liverpool office of the Social Security Administration where she worked as a claims administrator. She was a Methodist by faith. She love to travel and was very involved in the Chester-Newell Area Chamber of Commerce, the Hancock County Historical Museum and the Hancock County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
She is survived by her aunts, Vera Chambers and her husband, Kenneth of New Cumberland, Carol Kehrer of Sistersville, WV, Doris Clark of Palmdale. CA. and Shirley Griffith and her husband, James of Minerva, OH’ an uncle Jerry Silliman and his wife, Carman of Sistersville, WV; her special friends, Fran Cowey of Chester and Myrna Crawford of East Liverpool and a cousin, Sheila Able of East Liverpool.
Pastor Tom Schneidmiller of the Grace Bible Church in East Liverpool will conduct a memorial service on Friday, January 24, 2003, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville. Friends may call a the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society by calling 1-800-227-345 or logging on to www.cancer.org.
